Description

Pressure Tested, Ball Lock, with Pressure Relief Valve
Used & Pressure Tested - Ball Lock Keg - With Pressure Relief Valve

22-23" tall and 9.5" diameter.

JUST AN FYI: While we do not convert pin lock to ball lock kegs, many of the kegs in this height are starting to show up as converted pin locks.

Pressure tested 5 gallon, stainless steel, cornelius style tank. These tanks are guaranteed to hold pressure. Tanks will show normal wear and tear. May have stickers on kegs. May also have syrup residue in tanks as we only dump them.
Kegs include the o-rings and poppets that were installed when we received the tanks. We will often change an o-ring or poppet to get the tank to hold pressure. If you would like to have new o-rings or poppets, the options above allow you to add these. We do not change them but simply add them to the order.

We know some homebrewers are more picky than others, so please keep in mind that these are USED kegs. Some of these kegs are probably 30 years old. Do not expect new kegs. If you are looking for new kegs, please check out our new kegs. We try and have quality kegs available at all times. With this said, they are going to show normal wear and tear. We try not to purchase from Pepsi or Coke to avoid heavily used kegs. We are not implying that our kegs are not quality...we just want to avoid any misunderstandings.

If you are unhappy with your used 5 Gallon Low Profile Cornelius Kegs for any reason, we will gladly take them back. The purchaser will be responsible for return shipping charges.

Former Pin Locks Had to be Overhauled

I bought two low profile kegs to fit in my kegerator. They were formerly pin locks and someone had modified them to sell as ball locks. Both kegs had miss-sized ball-lock pegs that were slightly too large, making it difficult to get the in/out connectors to lock in place. After installing new pegs, everything worked ok. I had to get new gaskets as the lids on both leaked and on one of the kegs the pressure connection still leaks - so I will address that in the future. Not to mention each were very sticky when received, but I intended to wash them anyway. These were the least priced around but by the time I got through fixing them, i should've just bought new ones.

Pin lock lid

One of the kegs I ordered arrived with a pin lock lid lacking a pressure relief valve. Kegs are fine otherwise, but I had to purchase another lid with a relief valve.

Nice keg and works well

Came with the wrong lid without a manual vent. I contacted AIH and they rushed me out the correct lid with vent !! Can't beat their customer service !! Great people to deal with !! The keg itself was easy to clean and had no issues with residue on the rubber. It looked stained but does not come off. Working well and I am already serving beer out of it !

Fine so far but had issues

I received the keg dirty as expected - I tore it down and cleaned & sanitized. There was some tape on the handles that left a very sticky residue that I haven't been able to get off yet after a lot of cleaning. When I went to connect the liquid disconnect for the first time after I had already pressurized a new beer, the Quick Disconnect (QD) wouldn't snap on (yes, it was the right post and QD). I tried everything... pushing VERY hard, lubing the post, spraying the QD and post with StarSan, swapping the O-Ring, even swapping the poppet since I ordered this with fresh O-Rings and poppets, just in case. Nothing worked. I had to order new posts from Amazon ($20), and that fixed the issue immediately. I like to order used kegs to save money and don't care what they look like since they sit in a keezer, and I don't mind having to pay a few extra bucks for new O-rings, but I do expect the posts to work with standards ball lock QDs. All-in-all, I would order again, but I would test out the posts & QDs as soon as I got it (live & learn). My keg's height including a Gas QD which sticks up slightly above the handles is 23.5" - perfect to fit on the shelf in my keezer which has 24" clearance to the lid.

Great keg

Just as advertised. I had to rinse out old syrup residue, but keg holds pressure nicely. Most importantly, it fits inside my chest freezer without the need for a collar. These are great kegs for the price. Now if I only had a bigger chest freezer I'd have an excuse to buy more of these kegs!
