AIH New 5 Gallon Corny Keg Ball Lock

Not AIH kegs

These are no longer the AIH (or old ale) kegs in the picture. They are a cheap AMCYL knockoff from India now. They smell terrible (strong rubber) for weeks now, won’t seem to go away. And the lids are very cheap. I complained via email, was told that AMCYL or northern brewer single handle kegs are all they will have from now on, and the marketing team will fix it eventually. Mine are going back.

Good Value

Bought 2 of these more than a year ago before the prices went up. The quality is quite good (from China). I did find that the black plastic ring at the top does flex somewhat when picking up a full keg (never happened with the old corny kegs). Today, I was not paying attention and put my gray and black connectors on the wrong posts, and they actually went on! Many times, I have tried to connect to the wrong posts on old corny kegs, only to find their resistance told me I was an idiot. Apparently, these new kegs are not idiot proof, but still a good deal.
