FastFerment 7.9 Gallon Conical Fermenter

Tired of using multiple vessels for racking off dying yeast?

Consider the benefits of this conical style fermenter:

**No racking is needed. Primary and secondary fermentation takes place in the FastFerment™; minimizing potential for oxidation and contamination.

**An integrated thermowell and FastFerment™ thermometer allow you to keep your brew at the ideal temp.

**Additional (OPTIONAL) collection balls enable the brewer to harvest their own yeast.

**Use gravity to fill your bottles right out of the fermenter. An attachable 1/2" hose barb fitting allows for bottling right from the FastFerment™.

**The 6" opening makes for easier cleaning than the traditional small carboy mouth
The FastFerment™ cuts down on storage of multiple vessels

**FastFerment™ is easily mounted on any wall in your house with just a few screws (hardware included) and a moment of your time.

With these great features it's easy to see why the FastFerment™ will not only save you time and space, but also save you money.

There are better ones available

As a previous reviewer stated, I have also had issues with the yeast clogging the valve at the bottom of the fermenter. I think the opening is too small. Luckily I didn't have the problem with the lid blowing off. I would recommend looking at another fermenter, before considering this one.

Not impressed

I purchased this about a year ago. I have fermented 3 batches in this. I taped every thread on it but have never been able to get the lid to thread on correctly or tightly. I even used additional tape from another roll on the lid. The second batch blew the top off. Yes, I did have a blow off tube attached. I wanted to harvest the yeast so I kept the bottom closed for the first couple of days. My plan was to discard the bottom weaker yeast and then recover the next couple of days of floculated healthy yeast. But when I opened it, nothing came out. I guess the hole is too small for this method. I eventually got it out but I had to lightly pressurize the fermenter, ie blow in it a couple of times. My third batch, same results. The lid didn't blow off but it leaked all around the threads and ran down the fermenter. Again, the yeast cake is stuck in the bottom and not draining out. I do not recommend this product over any other fermenter.

So glad I put a hole in my carboy

Well, not glad to ruin a 6.5 gal glass carboy, but I would not have bought a Fast Ferment fermenter if I hadn't. I just finished my first batch in it and am amazed how much time and work it saved. No siphoning, no carboys to try and brush clean and no sediment in my keg; perfect. Thank you, I recommend Fast Ferment wholeheartedly.

Great Fermenter

This is a great fermenter. I've been a little leery of plastic. I'd prefer stainless steel. However, the cost is prohibitive. This meets the budget and is engineered very well. Only two criticisms: 1) I'd like to buy it without the thermowell. That is just another thing that can accumulate gunk and is difficult to clean without disassembly. 2) The thermowell was not threaded properly. I had to use a significant amount of tape to get it to seal correctly.

Great Fermenter

I love the ability to drop my yeast and cleanup is super-easy with the wide mouth lid. I will never go back to carboys. Saving yeast for the next batch is amazingly easy.
