One of my best brews so far

This was my second time with this recipe. The first time was very good but I was expecting the black patent malt to furnish a bit of toasty or smoke flavor. The second batch is a week or so from secondary finish. Actually smoked the flavoring grains with apple wood to about 150F grain temperature. Tasted between primary and secondary fermentation and it tastes maybe a little too smoky but feel it will still be very drinkable. Next batch I will try to reduce the smoke by half.
