Craft a smooth, mellow bourbon with our Wheated Bourbon All Grain Distilling Recipe Kit. Featuring a unique grain bill of malted corn, award-winning Munich 4, and Munich Wheat, this kit delivers a soft, full-bodied whiskey with rich caramel, fresh bread, and subtle stone fruit notes.
This recipe showcases Root Shoot Malting’s 2025 Malt Cup winning malts, including the 1st Place Munich 4 (Distillers Malt category) and 3rd Place Munich Wheat (Unique Malts category). These premium, Colorado-grown malts bring authentic depth and terroir to your finished spirit.
Fermented with Still Spirits Distiller’s Range Whiskey Yeast (included), this wash finishes clean and smooth—perfect for aging on oak. Still Spirits Turbo Clear is also included to clarify the wash prior to distillation. Designed to produce 5 gallons of wash at 1.080 OG and 10.5% ABV.
To ensure full starch conversion and maximize yield, this kit includes:
- Alpha-Amylase Enzyme – Added during mashing to break down starches into fermentable chains.
- Glucoamylase Enzyme – Added during fermentation to convert residual sugars into glucose.
