Two Hearted Clone All Grain Recipe (click here for Extract Recipe)

One of our most popular recipes in the shop! This is our take on cloning the very popular Bell's IPA. The recipe includes 2-row and light crystal malts, as well as four ounces of Centennial hops (one for dry hopping!). It has an original gravity of 1.067, and is 6.49% by volume using our recommended "Chico ale yeast", or now listed as American Ale Yeast from the drop-down options on the page.
  • Yield : 5 Gallons

  • IBU (anticipated, alpha acids can fluctuate) : 70.00

  • Hops : Centennial

Good numbers the only issue I have is that the centennial hops are 4.9 alpha (I was expecting around a 10 alpha) so they were more like a cascade. Not much hoppiness.

Haven't made it yet- but it was missing instructions & grains were crushed. Will review when I make it. Contractors have been slow to hook up 220 V & new plumbing!

Fantastic recipe

Two-hearted is a wonderfully balanced IPA -- a great malt backbone and fresh hop aroma and bittering. It isn't an over-the-top IPA where hops overpower everything else. This recipe is a great clone of the original. Some say, even better. I'm brewing it now for the 3rd time. First two times it turned out great but I was a bit under gravity (BIAB). This time I'm almost there. I'll continue purchasing this kit! It's that good.

Great Clone

Brewed this using Lallemand BRY97 dry yeast. Turned out great, tasting very similar to the Real Two Hearted. Let it condition in keg for a week or two for full flavor!
