Haven't made it yet- but it was missing instructions & grains were crushed. Will review when I make it. Contractors have been slow to hook up 220 V & new plumbing!
Two-hearted is a wonderfully balanced IPA -- a great malt backbone and fresh hop aroma and bittering. It isn't an over-the-top IPA where hops overpower everything else. This recipe is a great clone of the original. Some say, even better. I'm brewing it now for the 3rd time. First two times it turned out great but I was a bit under gravity (BIAB). This time I'm almost there. I'll continue purchasing this kit! It's that good.
Brewed this using Lallemand BRY97 dry yeast. Turned out great, tasting very similar to the Real Two Hearted. Let it condition in keg for a week or two for full flavor!
I've made this beer several times over the past couple of years and have never been disappointed. This will be my first shot at the all grain brew, but I expect the same or better results.
This is one of my favorite beers. The flavor and aroma are wonderful. I served this at a wedding recently and received many compliments, among them people who donít like Two Hearted liked this beer, and people who donít like beer liked this beer! Itís not as bitter as the real deal, but itís very flavorful otherwise and has a great lingering character too. I will definitely be brewing this one again! I suggest you try this recipe if youíre looking for a straight forward IPA displaying the broad flavor and aroma characteristics of centennial hops.
