Note: This product doesn't fit into smaller 1/2 to 1-gallon carboys and also will not fit the Herculometer for gravity readings.

Dont really care for it. Leaks, dumps its load at the slightest touch on the release trigger, and I am just not careful enough, dont have steady enough hands. Went back to using the turkey baster

Works well

Thought this thief worked well, it does drip a little as stated in other review but just put a hand under it as you carry. Quick drain once hydrometer reading taken.

Good, but...

It does exactly what it is supposed to do, but liquid does tend to drip from the bottom when it is full, albeit very slowly. You should probably go ahead and buy it anyway, I don't recommend carrying it over your wife's floor right after she mopped, just sayin'.
