Currently in the fermenter, so I can't comment yet on how it turned out. I note that the dry yeast option when buying is US-05, but the instructions included in the kit call for Nottingham. Why the confusion? I ended up using US-04, which I had on hand.
Pretty good red ale. Missed my numbers a little bit, but the color and taste of the Red ale is comparable to a Killians or Smithwick. The longer it sits in the keg, the better it tastes.
Well packaged, instructions reasonably clear and easy to follow. I haven't tried it yet, still conditioning. O.G. Came out higher than expected, around 1.082, final was 1.010, so I am optimistic.
