I made a good, fruity IPA with this yeast. At 90F it ferments like crazy - pretty much done within a couple days. I bottled six days after brew day, including time to dry hop and two days of cold crash. I will be using this again.
This stuff works very well and very fast, and imparts some delicious fruity esters to the finished beer, reminiscent of pineapple. Works really well with the juniper in a traditional kveik recipe.
This yeast is an animal. Pitched at 68F, rose to 77F at height of fermentation and still finished a 1.072 wort in under 48 hrs. Even without a starter (yeast pack was 2 months old), had a full on, active ferment in about 15 hrs. Very 'clean' smelling with only aromas of malt and hops when opening up the fermenter. Will use again.
Made a Ranger IPA clone. OG was 1.052. Set fermenting temp to 95 degrees. 3 days later I had a SG of 1.000 and the beer tasted like the original Ranger IPA. I will absolutely use this again and again and again.
