Og/gravity issues

Not sure what happened or how OG is estimated but I believe the package og states 1.084. I put all ingredients into brewfather and got around 1.075 and I adjusted the efficiency to 98% to get that og. I ended up getting 1.068 for my OG. Fg was spot.on with 1.019 using Nottingham dry yeast.

Regardless of OG issues the beer is quite flavorful. The vanilla powder adds quite a bit as well. I've never used powdered vanilla so it was quite the surprise. Sweet stout to say the least but, a nice holiday offering to have on tap.

Cheers, Jay

Solid Brew

MIssed the OG, but still came out as a solid pumpkin stout. I’ll probably brew this again.

Balanced

Well balanced recipe. Perfect amount of spice. Could use more vanilla, but probably my fault for not extracting the beans long enough. Can't complain, very nice pumpkin stout.
