I'm on the west coast, so stuff takes at least a few days to get here. Ice packs always arrive completely melted. But I like to think they've done their duty. No spoiled yeast so far.
smackpak arrived in my last order and was still cool to touch. put in refrig and used it several days later . after smacking it started to swell. after about 2 to 3 hours it was pitched into the saison batch. it took a while to start but then a very strong ferment. the ice pack kept the yeast pak cool and it worked as advertised
It was fine but I ordered it by mistake
The packaging was great and my yeast arrived still cold, thanks to the ice pack.
out temp was on the warm side and the new ice pack kept the yeast cool enough to get it into my cooler
