A 140,000 BTU/hr burner that is a great blend of heating power and efficiency - and does so whisper quietly! It's NEW dual mode capability allows you to switch between high power mode and high efficiency mode depending on your brewing needs (140,000 BTUs VS 80,000 BTUs)! The infinitely adjustable retaining bars can accommodate any size kettle and properly secure it. The patent pending clip on heat shield will help keep your flame burning where YOU want, and prevents adverse effects from high winds. In addition, low flame combustion is clean, wind performance is outstanding, and the heavy stainless construction is built to last a lifetime. For operation on natural gas expect 15% less power and 15% longer heating times due to the lower BTU content of natural gas vs. propane.

I am a big fan of AIH. They provide great products and fast shipping. While I usually am not a fan of Blichmann products, this burner is worth the investment. Heats wort very fast, and I have never had a more vigorous boil. Plus it is built like a tank. Very satisfied with the burner, and always satisfied with AIH.
Ordered Monday, arrived on Friday, brewed on Saturday. I just wanted to first give props to AiH. Turnaround time was incredible. This burner is a no frills chunk of metal. It has one job and it absolutely demolishes it. My brewdays used to be a constant job of making sure my temps stay in range with my old burner. I hit my mark and closed my valve a bit and the thermometer needle didn't flinch. Had a couple winds kick up and saw flashes of yellow, but the shield did it's job. Bulkhead and temp gauge were safe from heat and I didn't worry for a second. If you read about it already, you know it has an efficiency mode up to 50% open with 80k BTUs. Turns out this also has a higher mode if you crank the dial. Up to 140k BTUs. So I did. The moment it happens, Kenny Loggins' Danger Zone starts playing and you immediately have aviators on. Actually, no. But it kicks up like a damn jet engine. Blichmann calls it "Hellfire mode" , but it looks like "Afterburner mode". Your search is at an end. Buy this burner.
