Very Good Brown Ale

I really enjoyed this as did a few of my buddies. Malty with a pinch of hop flavor. Easy to drink. Used the White Labs 002 yeast.

Too fruity for me

I made this yeast with WYeast 1272, which I have read is Bell's "house strain" of yeast. I was informed 1272 would make a good brown ale. WYeast itself says as much on its own website. While this beer has gotten less fruity slowly over time, it's not the beer I wanted or envisioned. If I made it again, I think I'd just use 1056 or something else to highlight the malt more. I want my brown ales more malt-driven. It's not bad, but I was disappointed in how this turned out.

Nice!

First time brewing this and I like it a lot. Reminds me of an English Brown I used to drink while stationed in England. Thanks AIH.
