Best yeast and best service

This is the only yeast I use for Sake. It takes a lot of work and a lot of time to produce really high quality Sake and this yeast is a key component to making it. Adventures in Home Brewing did a fantastic job with my order. It arrived within days and the date code was so current that it was MFG dated the same month that I ordered it. Truly impressive service. I will be ordering from them again.

Best Sake Yeast Available in USA

I gave this yeast four stars only because I suspect you can get better sake yeast if you go straight to the source in Japan. But compared to White Labs Sake yeast, the only other kind available in the US, Wyeast is hands down the best for sake. Sake comes out very fragrant compared to White Labs which is a little dull. I've spoken with US Sake brewers and they echo my opinion and some of them don't even think the White Labs Yeast is actually Sake yeast. I did have one complaint, the yeast arrived with the smack pack already broken which is a problem. If the yeast hadn't gotten to me quickly it could have lost potency or at worst died before I could use it.
