The Darker Lord's Imperial Stout Recipe Kit

This is absolutely one of the best stouts I have ever had. It's my wife's favorite beer, so much so that when I told her I was getting ready to brew a lighter beer for the summer she made me promise that the next beer after that would be another batch of The Darker Lord. I guess I'm going to have to start brewing in 10 gallon batches just so that we can have enough on hand.

I cannot speak to how this might compare to the 'real thing' ... it's hard to imagine that it is really that close, given they add coffee and vanilla (which the kit does not include nor even mention). That aside, WOW, THIS IS GOOD! I've shared it with a few good friends and they were all quite impressed. I will be ordering and brewing this again ... I'll likely leave out the coffee, but I will be adding some vanilla, and some whiskey- or bourbon-soaked oak chips. Mmmmm, can't wait!

This one has me spoiled. I almost Only want to make this kit! Flavorful and heavy! I drool just thinking about making it again.

Can't believe how good this is. Living near 3F I am spoiled and have a good stock of DL and have been able to attend many DLD's. This is REALLY good and really close!!! Very Good. HIGHLY recommended!!! I will buy again.
