Smooth and crisp

I was anxious to try this brown because of the rave reviews. I used Safale US-05 and fermented cool. This turned out very smooth. Not too chocolaty or too much coffee. Balanced between the 2 and has a nice crisp finish. Turned out exactly the way I wanted it to. It's an easy drinker so be careful.

Fantastic Brown Ale!

Great tasting dark brown ale with chocolate and almost a "coffee" flavor. Absolutely loved this one and so did my neighbors. This isn't just for Christmas and it's on my favorites list. Definitely the best brown ale I have brewed.

Outstanding!!

A superb brown ale. Great taste with super balance. Reindeer Dribble shouldn't be only for Christmas.

Delicious, but would alter slightly next time

This is probably one of the better recipe kits I've made so far. That said, for my tastes, the 1.5oz hop addition at 60 min was a little strong for a brown ale. The bitterness slightly overpowered the malt forward flavors that were expected of this; as opposed to evening it out. All in all, I hit my OG spot on, FG was just slightly low 1.010, but the beer is quite tasty and one that I would love to do again, with some slight alterations.

Good brown ale

Great tasting brown ale that was easy to brew. I used some cascade hops from a friend instead of those provided in the kit. Good alternative to all the very hoppy beers that seem to be popular now.
