Irish Barista Stout All Grain Recipe

The beer has a wonderful mouthfeel and smoothness from Oats. The beer has a subtle nuttiness from the Marris Otter and the specialty grains give a great balance of chocolate and coffee flavor. The bittering hops at 36 IBU's help to balance the beer making it an incredibly refreshing and yet still maintaining that great Stout mouthfeel.

Amazing!

I usually form my own recipes, but decided to try this one and glad I did. The beer is incredible. Very full bodied, smooth, and creamy mouth feel with flavors of strong dark roasted coffee, dark chocolate and some malty sweetness from the crystal malt and oats. There is a noticeable hop bitterness in this beer too, which I'm not sure is appropriate for an Irish stout, but it works really well in this beer. The beer also has a nice kick of alcohol too, which provides a little warmth. I only deviated from the recipe, as I still perform a step mash. Old habits are hard to break as I feel it improves extract efficiency and clarity.
