AIH Cybier RyeBier Recipe Kit

I expected I decent beer from this slightly strange combination (wheat malt, rye grain, citra hop) but I had no idea it was going to mature into liquid gold. I didn't like the smell/taste right after ferm, it was a little apple, little vinegar? Three weeks in the bottle and I find myself hoarding it away from my friends and family :::MY PRECIOUS!:::

A delicious beer! The 4 oz of citra hops are a lot smoother than I expected. I definitely need to brew another batch (or two) of this - I'm going to run out of my first batch very quickly.

Flavor as expected, average to good IPA with the addition of rye notes. Was hoping for something like Founders Red Rye but the style is different. Really liked this brew at first but over time (months) it became a little more funky/sour (not a bad batch, but could be something I did). I didn't do the iodine test but instead heated it at the desired temperature for an hour to ensure conversion.

This beer holds up. Brewed it 3/2015, loved it, just found some I had squirrelled away (8/2016) and it still tastes great. The grapefruit taste is much more pronounced now, sad I only hid 4 bottles... Ordering more now. I'm not typically an IPA person but this beer is excellent. Go for it!

Very tasty beer. The hops smell wonderful. AIH has great service and I'll keep coming back to them for online orders.
