Description

Used & Tested, Ball Lock Keg, With Pressure Relief Valve
Used & Pressure Tested - Ball Lock - Includes Pressure Relief Valve Lid

Pressure tested 5 gallon, stainless steel, cornelius style tank. These tanks are guaranteed to hold pressure. 25" tall and 8.5" diameter. Tanks will show normal wear and tear. May have stickers on kegs. May also have syrup residue in tanks as we only dump them.

Kegs include the o-rings and poppits that were installed when we received the tanks. We will often change an o-ring or poppit to get the tank to hold pressure. If you would like to have new o-rings or poppits, the options below allow you to add these. We do not change them but simply add them to the order.

If you are just getting into kegging you will need a kegging setup to go with these kegs. We sell picnic tap systems, tower systems, and kegerator systems.

We know some homebrewers are more picky than others, so please keep in mind that these are USED kegs. Some of these kegs are probably 30 years old. Do not expect new kegs. If you are looking for new kegs, please check out our new kegs. We try and have quality kegs available at all times. With this said, they are going to show normal wear and tear. We try not to purchase from Pepsi or Coke to avoid heavily used kegs. We are not implying that our kegs are not quality...we just want to avoid any misunderstandings. Most of the kegs have black protective tops and bottoms, some are blue. We may have a few green, red or yellow tops. If you want a particular color, please indicate that at checkout time and we will try to accommodate you.

If you are unhappy with your used 5 Gallon Cornelius Kegs for any reason, we will gladly take them back. The purchaser will be responsible for return shipping charges.

Two used kegs in not great condition

I ordered two used ball lock kegs and would say that I would do it again, but with strong reservations. The kegs were delivered in a box that was falling apart because it wasn't properly closed. The kegs themselves were absolutely disgusting. They were both completely covered in old, dried soda syrup that required me to soak the whole kegs in cleaner to even get the lids off. The O-rings were all in terrrible shape and needed to be replaced before I could use it for anything.

But they hold pressure, so that's good, I guess.

5 gallon Corny keg

This is the 4th used keg I’ve purchased. They come dirty and a little beat up. AIH claims to pressure check each one before shipping. This one clearly wasn’t. Fortunately I also purchased a new o ring kit which remedied the problem. I recommend a new o ring kit if you buy one of these. I use a razor to remove the stickers, Goo Gone to remove the glue. I then completely disassemble the whole thing and give it a thorough scrubbing with a scotch brite and Dawn detergent. After that you just sanitize and you’re ready to use.

Excellent Keg for the Money

Tried our first used keg, and after a good cleaning and a pressure test it looks and functions like new. Will be getting another soon.

It was USED!

I'll buy new from now on. Keg was nasty and dented, but hey, I tried it once!

5 Gallon Cornelius Keg, Ball Lock (Used)

Keg was just as described on the website. Just needed a good cleaning and we put it right into service as a 2nd keg in our sparkling water maker. We bought the $4 o-ring and seal set at the same time and I changed the old ones out for new just to avoid any issues. Everything seems to be working fine!
