Made from high quality white oak, these cubes have been seasoned for 3 years and fire toasted by hand. These cubes have a barrel-like gradation of color, which helps provide a slow, controlled extraction process. Oak cubes impart complex flavor and aroma profiles in wine and beer, rivaling those of old favorite barrels. We recommend using one 2.5 oz. package of Medium Plus Toast American Oak Cubes per 5 gallons of beer or wine.
*A Note on Toast Levels: Medium is the lightest, Heavy Toast is the darkest, and Medium Plus (or House Toast) is between the two.
