1.5 " Stainless Steel Tri-Clamp Sanitary Clamp
The standard in the Food & Beverage industry, tri-clamps allow for secure, easy to clean connections that are leakproof for your brew system. Sanitary Tri-Clamp Fittings are designed to be "cleaned in place" (CIP), and can easily be taken apart for additional Cleaning.
Tri-Clamps used to be called Tri-Clover Fittings.
To make a sanitary connection, there can be no exposed threads in the connection; and there can be no sudden change in the internal diameter.
How to make a tri-clamp connection?
The following will be needed to make a sanitary connection.
One Tri-Clamp - this will fit over the two fittings and can be tightened with the wingnut.
Two Fittings, such as a ferrule, endcap or barbed fitting.
A Silicone Gasket between the fittings and clamp.
The sizing is based on the outside diameter (OD) of the tube and not on the outside diameter (OD) of the flange end itself.
