Excellent recipe and easy to make -I've brewed this twice and the results were exceptional both times. Silky smooth with a rich dark flavor. I'll definitely brewing this regularly.

This is the second time I have brewed this. It is not ready to keg yet but the first batch was excellent! This will probably be a regular in my fridge!

Tasty so far

I brewed this with the White Labs British Ale Yeast with no prep beforehand (just threw the yeast in at the end). Also paired it with brown sugar when bottling. Turned out great! Half the batch Iím also experimenting with. As a Christmas present for someone who loves Jameson, I got some oak chips and soaked them in Jameson for 5 days before throwing them in secondary with 2 1/2 gallons of the Oatmeal Stout. Itís currently conditioning - so weíll see how it goes. Fingers crossed though - the sample I had before bottling was promising!
