Is it Expensive to Make Wine at Home?
It is not expensive to make wine at home. We offer an array of wine making supplies and equipment that can fit any budget.
Is it Legal to Make Wine at Home?
Home wine making has been legal since 1978. However, there are limitations. A household of two adults or more is limited to making 200 gallons of homemade wine annually. Single adult households are limited to making up to 100 gallons of homemade wine annually. We recommend checking with state and local authorities to learn about local restrictions in your area on home wine making.
Can I Make My Wines Sweeter Than Store Bought Wines?
Absolutely! You can make your own wine sweet or dry. You can also make your wine heavy and full or light and crisp. Each batch is a reflection of your taste.
Do you Have Any Good Wine Recipes?
Yes, we have wine recipes on our website for making wine from grapes, raspberries, watermelon, cherries and many other fruits. We also offer books with information on making wine as well as wine recipes.
Do I Need a Wine Press?
No. Wine presses are used by wineries for economical purposes rather than quality.
Are 28 Day Wine Kits Different From Other Wine Concentrates?
We believe 28-day wine kits process juice to promote the early settling of tannins and other harsh elements to make the wine drinkable sooner. The directions usually state that the wine is very good at 28 days, but we recommend aging these wines a few months for optimum quality.
Which Type of Concentrate is Best For Sweet Wine?
It does not matter which type of concentrate you choose. Wine is sweetened when you are ready to bottle by adding wine stabilizer such as Potassium Sorbate and sugar. You control how sweet your wine will be.
