East Kent Goldings Hop Pellets 1 Ounce

Traditional Old English hop. Developed by clonal selection from 1790 on starting from Canterbury Whitebine. Classic English ale hop used for kettle hopping and dry hopping. East Kent Goldings Pellet Hops are used in all English Style Ales, ESB Bitters.

Aroma : include smooth and delicate with floral, lavender, spice, honey, earth, lemon and thyme overtones.

Nice aroma and flavor profile

Used 1 ounce of this as the front-end hop for my first go at an English ESB Ale. Worked beautifully followed by a half-ounce of Fuggles at 15 minutes and another dose at 5 minutes. The ESB had a sour flavor initially, but that mellowed with a couple more days in the keg to leave a nice, smooth, bitter flavor. I am quite pleased!
