On top of all these new features the BeerGun still packs all this!
Let's face it, we all love the simplicity and convenience of kegging, and hate the inconvenience of bottling. To transport kegged beer, we either deal with complicated counter-pressure (CP) fillers or put up with the oxygenation and foaming of filling from a tap.
The BeerGun from Blichmann Engineering is a revolutionary new bottle filler that eliminates the complication, time-consuming operation, and cleaning problems of traditional counter pressure (CP) bottle fillers used to fill bottles from kegs. While eliminating those problems, the Quiescent Flow TechnologySM of the BeerGun maintains the primary function of purging a bottle with CO2 with no oxygen pick-up and filling it with minimal foaming and carbonation loss. So unlike CP fillers that pressurize a bottle to keg pressure to reduce foaming with complicated valving and difficult operations, this filler gradually reduces the beer from keg pressure to atmospheric pressure with little turbulence. The result is a consistent bottle fill with little foaming and no oxygen pick-up.
Foaming is caused predominantly by turbulence and sudden changes in pressure. The design of the BeerGunTM eliminates the need to pressurize the bottle by providing a non-throttling, quick-acting valve placed at the BOTTOM of the filler stem, and a beer delivery system that is very low in turbulence. All current designs use a valve at the TOP of the filler. Placing the valve at the bottom not only allows the valve to be quickly immersed in the beer, further reducing pressure change and turbulence, it also keeps the stem full of beer at all times. Traditional fillers, or filling from a tap with a hose, forces the beer down an empty tube each time, kicking up foam along the way.
Because the beer is sealed in the filler stem when the BeerGun is removed from the bottle, it automatically provides a consistent bottle fill level when the stem is removed. And since a pressurizing stopper isn't required, you can fill bottles of any depth without buying different stem lengths or adding plastic hose extensions. The other main feature is the intuitively obvious operation and very simple sanitation procedure. Those features, combined with a CO2 jacketing tube for bottle purging, and ergonomic valve actuators, means filling a bottle is faster, intuitively obvious, more accurate, and easy.
Here is the summary:
One-handed intuitive operation.
Less complex than Counter Pressure.
Everything that touches the beer is stainless.
Low foaming.
Simple to clean and set-up.
So easy you'll actually enjoy bottling.
Great for kegs or bottling buckets.
Wine-makers can use it, too.

Unfortunately, the beer gun is not ready to go straight out of the box. Accessory Kit #1 is now included from Blichmann, but most will still need Accessory Kit #2. Read the description carefully because either you will have to provide this equipment yourself, or you can simply purchase this equipment as one or both of our accessory kits.
Beer Gun Accessory Kit #2
Because most people do not have regulators with dual MFL outlets as shown in the instructions for the BeerGun provided by Blichmann Engineering, this kit is necessary to make the beergun operational. This group of items includes an MFL Shut Off with Check Valve (1/4" MFL to 1/4" MFL), a Brass Wye for the Regulator and a Brass Nipple (1/4" NPT to 1/4" MFL).
