Oktoberfest / Marzen Recipe Kit

The first Oktoberfest took place in 1810, to celebrate the wedding of the Bavarian Prince Ludwig to Princess Therese. The people of Munich were invited to celebrate, and ever since Oktoberfest has been a hit! This Oktoberfest is a rich amber / mahogany in color. Vienna and Munich Malts add a nice depth and complexity. With notes of light toasted malt, along with toffee and caramel. The flavor is malt forward with a toasted aspect, and just enough hop character to balance.

Beer recipe kit

Great recipe. Easy instruction. Two hearted IPA was pretty exact in predicting Original gravity. Kit included everything....including the muslin bag!

Warm Yeast

I ordered two kits with liquid yeast. I ordered the ice pack because my last order came in and the yeast was warm. When the ordered arrived, the ice had melted and the yeast was at ambient temperature. The pack you put the yeast and ice in is NOT an insulated pack. The Marzen is fermenting right now - I will find out next week if the yeast worked. Bubbling stopped quicker than I expected. I am also not very happy with having to order on-line. I enjoyed going into the store and picking things up. Now I have to pay high shipping unless I order a LOT of things. If a brick and mortar store opens near me, I will probably switch. I liked your kits and recipes, but I can't afford the shipping on small orders.
