This is a manifold that sits on top of your grain bed, and features 24 drilled holes to gently distribute the re-circulating mash. This manifold will fit in 10/20 gallon mash tuns as well as 10/15/20/30 gallon kettles.

The solution to your recirculation problems

With my new herms system up and running, I wanted a better solution to recirculation than just setting the silicone hose on top of the grain bed. I found this item on AIH and it was exactly what I was looking for. It allows the gentle flow and even distribution of temperature during both mash recirculation and sparging. Before when using just a hose, I was experiencing problems with channeling in the grain bed and longer times before achieving uniform temperature stability. This maninfold has eliminated these problems, and comes in at a great price point.
