Nice thick walls and bottom. Good welds on the ports. Great volume markers on the inside. I figure a more expensive pot doesn't change or improve the taste or quality of a beer so why spend more?
I bought this pot in September last year and have only used it twice for brewing. I use an induction burner and I'm happy with the quality in general. The welds are fine and there are no leaks at the handles. The only problem I have is that the lid handle fell off when I used it the second time. The welds on the handle are almost non-existent. AIH suggests that I glue it on with epoxy glue. So, get some glue if you order this pot.
