I got it discounted as part of my upgrade to all grain brewing equipment, which worked great for this beer. I found the recipe to be a little plain for my liking, so we decided to add in 8oz of cacao nibs in a hop bag the boil, then retrieved them and soaked them in a jar Pinnacle Whipped vodka for 2 weeks and added that to the secondary-it gave a really nice chocolate cream flavor. We also had leftover lactose that we put in and based off a recipe online we added white chocolate hot cocoa powder to make it a "chocolate oreo stout". It was a big hit, one of our best beers so far. I will mention that we don't have a grain mill and I didn't opt for it crushed so we did get to have some fun crushing the grains ourselves, don't forget to order them crushed if you don't have a grain mill!
