Just add 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons. This is an easy way to keep mash ph at a reasonable level, especially if not using dark grains. My tap water is soft, so there is no worry about hitting a threshold where you can taste the salts, as some have claimed.
I have used this product for years since my water is ~7.5 pH and I will add to my all-grain batches to provide a consistent starting point for the mash. It allows me to not micromanage the water additions on brew day and focus on the other important variables.
