Pretty slow

It is a nice thermometer but it takes forever to get a steady reading. Iëm pretty disappointed since I have been waiting to order it for months. I got a cheap Inkbird thermometer that works just as good and show a steady reading within a few seconds. Wouldnët buy it again.

Easy To Read

Using a three tier gravity brew stand, the side display is wonderful. No more climbing the step ladder to read strike, sparge, or mash in temps. The side display was reasonably easy to read in the Boil Kettle during cool down, too. The display is large enough even us old guys with bifocal can read it fairly easily.

Slow to respond

The product seems pretty robust, but my issue is it's slow to get to temperature, if I had to pick a number, I'd say you'll be waiting a minute or so before the reading stabilizes. How long do you feel like holding your hand over hot liquids?

Works great

I really like this thermometer. I was previously using the cheap floating thermometers and upgraded to this. While I do BIAB I stick this in while stirring and I get an accurate reading pretty fast. I made sure it was calibrated by putting it in some fine crushed ice water and it was almost spot on.

Out of calibration after 3 days

Unit may have been reading correctly when I first used it for mash-in but I did verify the calibration before use. When I suspected it was faulty, I verified it was reading 61F in 32F ice. Before I noticed the error my wort had cooled to around 40F. The wort is still fermenting, hope my mash-in was not 30 degrees off. AIH was a pleasure to deal with and refunded the purchase cost.
